Code is formatted as per a revised clang format configuration file(not part of this delivery). Version 14.0.6 is used. Exclusion List: - files with .cl extension - files that are not strictly C/C++ (e.g. Android.bp, Sconscript ...) And the following directories - compute_kernel_writer/validation/ - tests/ - include/ - src/core/NEON/kernels/convolution/ - src/core/NEON/kernels/arm_gemm/ - src/core/NEON/kernels/arm_conv/ - data/ There will be a follow up for formatting of .cl files and the files under tests/ and compute_kernel_writer/validation/. * Some symbols have been moved from core/Types.h. This patch retains back compatibility so that the user can still include this header for those symbols * A new header core/CoreTypes.h is created to avoid circular dependency. * Implement a common interface across both functions and across mlgo and default heuristics. This interface is implemented as: * A set of adaptor functions in new cl_gemm::auto_heuristics namespace as: * select_default_*: For selecting configs using default heuristics * select_mlgo_*: For selecting configs using mlgo heuristics These adaptor functions have the same interface * On top of these adaptor functions, a set of auto_select_* functions that automatically selects between mlgo and default (prioritize mlgo). Note that auto_select_gemm_config_* are implemented in each individual function. This is because the auto selection depends on the validation of its hosting functions. This patch introduces a new GEMM capable to improve the mac utilisation of 10% compared to the GEMM without reshape. However this implementation is not faster in all cases as we need to take into account the time for reshaping the matrices. For this reason an heuristic solution to select the optimal GEMM to use has been added to the function. More information about the heuristic implementation can be found at COMPMID-852. With this new patch, GoogleNet, MobileNet, VGG16 and SqueezeNet can improved the performance of 1.5x. 2018-11-02COMPMID-759 - CLGEMM optimization for McVail benchmarksGian Marco
This patch introduces an optimization for CLGEMM on Bifrost architectures which can bring to 40% of FMA utilization on config 3 of McVail. The new CLGEMM does not require any reshape of matrix A and matrix B. This patch also adds the auto-config in CLConvolutionLayer and CLGEMM and extends the interface for NEGEMM and CLGEMM.
